EIA Energy Forecasts to 2035

EIA presents projections of U.S. energy supply, demand, and prices to 2035 with the release of the reference case projections from Annual Energy Outlook 2010.

“The recession will have a lasting impact” on gross domestic product, total energy use and carbon dioxide emission levels, EIA Administrator Richard Newell said at the unveiling of his agency’s 2010 Energy Outlook’s reference case.

EIA Energy Outlook Projects Moderate Growth in U.S. Energy Consumption,  Greater Use of Renewables, and Reduced Oil and Natural Gas Imports…The full AEO2010 report, including projections with differing assumptions on the price of oil, the rate of economic growth, and the characteristics of new technologies, will be released in March 2010, along with regional projections.
