I am all for Waxman-Markey the way it was initially written, but "we gotta start somewhere". Each president since Nixon, has paid lip service to OUR DEPENDENCY. Now we are doing something. Problem is that the general public doesn't feel the pain yet. So, doesn't think we REALLY have a problem. Maybe we should reduce subsidy money on oil and coal to the little help we give wind and solar, then we'd save a coupla bucks on income taxes, and pay a whole lot more at the pump and utility bill.
