National, provincial, and municipal programs that include innovative ways to increase energy efficiency in a fully integrated and proactive public policy can improve their economic outlook as new technologies focused on energy efficiency create new industries to support them. At the same time, less money and effort will be needed to address the previous problems of pollution and resource sustainability, thereby freeing those monies and efforts for other more productive uses.
Overall, the issue of energy efficiency is one that is becoming the focus of concern for many people, especially in the more densely populated areas of the world, such as the European capitals of Paris, Rome, and London and the major municipalities of the United States, such as New York and Los Angeles.
